FAQ
Before you book.
The questions people ask most, answered plainly.
How does booking work?
Choose a service and an arrival window, tell us about the car and where it's parked, and send the request. We confirm every booking personally, usually within a few hours, by email and text. It isn't booked until we confirm it.
How much notice do you need?
At least 24 hours. For anything urgent, call rather than booking online.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to hand over the keys and be reachable. Many customers carry on working inside while we're in the driveway.
Where can the work be done?
Anywhere the car is parked and we can work safely: a driveway is ideal, and a flat spot at your office usually works too.
What does the warranty cover?
One year on the parts we supply and fit. If one of them fails within a year, we come back and deal with it, labour included. Parts you buy yourself aren't covered by our warranty.
Is there a call-out fee?
Not on a booked visit. Travel is included anywhere in our area. A diagnostic is charged up front and credited against the repair if you go ahead.
What don't you do?
Suspension, drivetrain, welding and exhaust: work that needs a lift and a shop floor. We'll point you to someone who does it properly.
Evenings or weekends?
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with arrivals at 8 am, 11 am and 2 pm. Saturday by arrangement. From 6 to 10 pm we take emergencies only, like a dead battery or a jump start, by call or text.
How do I pay?
By card. A 20% deposit is paid online when you book; the balance, plus tax, is paid after the work.
